List of Legitimate Online Sellers 2018
I have a great plan for this year 2018. I am just trying to lay it out before releasing. Online Commerce in the Philippines does not have a good reputation. the problem with online sellers especially in Facebook, Twitter, or other social media is their trustworthiness. Many people do not want to buy from sellers because Filipinos are afraid of scams. People now prefer Lazada, Shoppee, and other sellers because they have free shipping and more trustworthy. Small online sellers suffer from their decline of sale and are usually met with criticism.
What is the solution? Let us create a safe online commerce in the Philippines by listing out legitimate sellers.
It is easy to commit FRAUD online because people’s real identities are hidden. If we can capture the identity of the sellers, they will not commit fraud. Hence, I am developing a list of legitimate online sellers who are brave enough to provide their ID and details. These details shall be kept private and will be released to buyers in case the seller commits fraud. Of course, before we release their identity the buyer should give substantial proof that there was fraud.
For beginners the following are guidelines to prevent fraud:
- If purchasing through social media like facebook, pay only using bank transfers, cebuana, Western Union, moneygram.
- Do not deliver money using GCASH/SMART PADALA (unless trusted seller) because the seller will stay anonymous using these accounts. They may be easy but the hassle of chasing them after you pay them is not worth it.
